Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics

It’s been nearly a week since I took delivery on my new prosthesis and am happy to report no adverse effects as yet. I don’t know how I ever got along with it. To explain it in just one word, I would say freedom is the best one. I have taken over 9000 steps with only one stumble. The knee performed as advertised on my only stumble. I was stepping over one of my dog’s toys Monday night but missed and stepped on it with my heel. Since I was slightly up on the toe, the knee kind of pushed forward and I continued to walk without missing a step. Simply amazing. With the old leg I would have either did the cripple dance before gaining back my stance or went straight down to the floor. I even went out last weekend and walked down my slanted driveway on snow and picked up my newspaper without slipping one time. I am so impressed with the Genium knee. This is what I have always needed and feel so fortunate to finally have one. I see only good thinks going forward and am grateful beyond words to you and all others at Ability. You have given my life and confidence back to me. I can never repay you enough for all that you have done.

Laura is so kind and helpful and always listens to me when I need her. Tom is fantastic. He listens, really listens to my problem and then makes adjustments to my prosthesis always stopping to ensure the adjustment he just made works for me. He is so kind and compassionate and understanding. When I'm there he makes me feel like I am the only patient he has. He takes his time, is meticulous, and is attentive to every detail of my prosthesis. I highly recommend Tom to anyone I meet that needs any type of prosthesis or orthotic. He is great and I hope he stays with Ability for a long, long time.
